Ductape is a Turkish Post-Punk duo formed by Çağla Güleray (vocals, synthesizer) and Furkan Güleray (guitar, bass, drum programming). Emerging in 2019, the band blends melancholic melodies with energetic beats and Turkish/English lyrics full of pathos creating a unique sound influenced by 80's Post-Punk and Darkwave. Renowned for their emotionally charged and energetic performances with distinctive vocal performances by Çağla and unique guitar sound of Furkan, Ductape quickly took their place among the genre’s most compelling contemporary acts. Since their debut, they have released four albums and two EPs, steadily building a passionate international following. Following a series of international performances across Europe and Latin America and growing global recognition, Ductape have already unveiled three singles from the upcoming album “Faded Flowers”, set to be release in September 18th. The first single from the album, Fine, received an overwhelmingly positive response worldwide, resonating strongly with both listeners and tastemakers across the post-punk and darkwave scenes. This was followed by the Turkish-language track Gölgesiz, showcasing the band’s ability to blend their native language with their signature melancholic intensity. Most recently, Obscure was released, further hinting at the darker and more refined sound of Faded Flowers. To celebrate the album release, Ductape have announced nine exclusive launch shows across Europe, including dates in Germany, Denmark, Portugal, and Sweden.
